Lodi Pizza Fans Get Their Wish: Curioni's Market To Reopen

LODI, N.J. – After only a few days of being “closed for good,” Curioni’s Market in Lodi will reopen on Monday, according to the business’ voicemail.

“Hello, you’ve reached Curioni’s,” the recorded voice on the line states. “We will be re-opening on Monday, May 8th, with new hours, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. till 4 p.m. Thank you. Have a great day.”

The popular pizzeria on Liberty Street closed last week, after being run by the same family for 94 years. Owner Walter Curioni said he was going to retire.

Customers clamored for final slices before the closing, with some patrons even freezing pizza.
