PASSAIC, N.J. -- If David Adler has his way, his business, Acugo, will have a global network of connected information professionals making his startup the number one platform that small businesses, entrepreneurs, and startups go for research.
That, at least, is his five year plan. The Passaic-based company, which Adler started in 2015, is a platform that connects small businesses with vetted experienced researchers.
"My inspiration in starting the company was to give small businesses the same opportunities as large corporations to access and leverage the world's information resources with the help of information researchers," explained Adler. "At the same time, I want to give information researchers who know how to find quality and relevant intelligence which is used for actionable business decisions the recognition they rightfully deserve from the business world."
So far, the company has information specialists in several states and is working on its expansion. Clients range from small businesses, startups, law firms, accounting firms and hotel consultants.
The Passaic resident said he saw a need for this kind of service after working for more than 20 years in the information research landscape in a variety of roles.
"Information Specialists are our unsung heroes find relevant and quality information for actionable business decisions on a daily basis. They are found in all industries and I want to give them opportunities to shine."
