Passaic Freeholder Organizes 'Champions Of Civil Rights' Dinner

PATERSON, N.J. -- The third annual Champions of Civil Rights dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, June 1, at the Brownstone, 351 West Broadway.

The event, held by the Friends of Freeholder John Bartlett, is set to honor Assembly Budget Chairman Gary Schaer; Samer Khalaf, the national executive director of the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee; and the Garden State Bar Association, the oldest and largest association for African American lawyers, judges and law students.

Tickets to the event cost $150 per person and include a cocktail hour at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:15 p.m.
