PATERSON, N.M. -- "A Time For Burning" will screen on Tuesday, March 22, at the Paterson Free Public Library.

The documentary describes the efforts of Rev. L. William Youngdahl, a white Lutheran pastor in Omaha, Nebraska, to reach out to black Lutherans in the city. He ultimately failed, however, and resigned as minister of his church.

The Library of Congress, in 2005, selected the film for preservation, as being "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant."

The film will begin at 5 p.m.

The Paterson Free Public Library is located at 250 Broadway. For more information about upcoming events, visit the library's website, or follow it on Facebook or Twitter.
