Wayne's Temple Beth Tikvah Celebrates Jubilee Of Cantor

WAYNE, N.J. -- Temple Beth Tikvah, in Wayne, has events planned through June 2016 to celebrate the jubliee of Cantor Charles D. Romalis. who has served the congregation for 50 consecutive years.

Temple Beth Tikvah's choir will participate n a variety of jubilee events.

Kol Dodi Concert -- Sunday, March 13 -- This concert will be in conjunction with the Jewish Community Choir. It will consist of four choral pieces. Choir members will be taught the music and will rehearse the day of the concert. Rehearsals for this concert will be on Monday, Feb. 22, Monday 29 and March 7, at 7:30 p.m.

Folk Rock Service -- Friday, April 8 -- The Beth Tikvah choir will sing four to five pieces during this service. It will be accompanied by a rock band ensemble. Rehearsals for this concert will be Monday, March 21, Monday, 28 and April 4, at 7:30 p.m.

Jubilee Concert -- Sunday, June 5 -- This is the major concert of the year. The Beth Tikvah choir will be joined by the New Jersey Cantors Concert Ensemble. There will be special soloists and presentations. Rehearsals for this concert will be at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, May 9, Monday, May 16, Monday, May 23, Wednesday, May 25, and Wednesday, June 1.
