The Village Council unanimously voted to display the flag in the public space, the article said.

The decision comes a week after the council discussed flying the rainbow flag on the municipal flagpole in front of Village Hall, the story says.

At the time, Village Attorney Matthew Rogers said flying the flag at Village Hall could set a bad precedent and then the village would have to fly other political flags.
