WAYNE, N.J. -- Choosing the perfect wine to accompany a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner can be difficult. So Daily Voice turned to Eric Simeone, a wine specialist at the massive Gary’s Wine & Marketplace in Wayne, for some suggestions.
After scouring the aisles, he came back with these five options that are sure to please. Enjoy!

This California red is “soft, with an elegant finish” built on Aromas of Plum, cinnamon, clove and flavors of ripe blackberry, raspberry and sweet baking spices. It’s a treat to complement a special meal. ($49.99 on sale)
Domaine Fournier - Sancerre Les Belle Vignes (2015)
Great for pairing with fish or creamy dishes, this wine, from the Loire Valley in France, is crisp and refreshing, with a mix of gooseberry, straw and flint flavors. “It’s a very fresh, light wine,” Simeone said. ($19.99 on sale)
Louis Roederer -- Brut Premier Champagne
Toast the day and memories to come with this Champagne, which comes at a good value at $39.99. It’s normally $62.99. “We did a tasting on New Year’s and people went crazy,” Simeone said. “It’s great-tasting.”
Ocaso -- Sparkling Rose of Malbec Extra Brut
