This seems to be the first time in the NBC hit show, produced by River Vale's Dan Fogelman, that we found out where exactly in North Jersey much of the action takes place.

The Pearsons live at 5090 Anderson Avenue in Alpine, the same street where Stevie Wonder once lived. The Alpine scenes are filmed in Los Angeles. (Scroll to the bottom for more: spoiler alert).

"This Is Us" is about the Pearson family. Jack and Rebecca Pearson (Milo Ventimigilia and Mandy Moore) raise their three kids, twins Kate and Kevin and Randall in the 1980s and 1990s. Randall was adopted by the Pearsons the same day their baby was born stillborn.

The present day follows Kate, Kevin, and Randall in their adult lives. Randall lives in Alpine, commuting to New York City where he works as a weather commodities trader.

The envelope was addressed to Beth Pearson, who lives in Alpine with husband Randall.

***SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE NOT YET CAUGHT UP***

Beth received a postcard from Randall's biological father, William, who passed away in the previous episode. William said he was the daughter he wishes he had.
