PATERSON, N.J. – A Paterson man won $1 million in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing, according to multiple media reports.

Juan Mendez, 37, purchased the lucky ticket Wednesday at the W & R Mini Market and Deli on Nagle Street.

He said he plans to continue to work and use the winnings to make a better life for his family, according to reports.

Additional winning tickets for prizes ranging from $50,000 to $200,000 were sold in Wayne, Fort Lee and Washington Township, lottery officials announced Thursday.
