WAYNE, N.J. -- Campus radio station WPSC-FM (88.7), the station of William Paterson University, will kick off its fifth annual College Radio Day this Friday, Oct. 2, according to a report in NorthJersey.com.
The 24 hours of continuous, live college radio programming will start at 12:01 a.m. Every hour, college stations across the country will "pass the baton" to one another in a “radio relay” with special programs planned to highlight the importance of radio broadcasting, the story said. College Radio Day was initiated by Rob Quicke, associate professor of communications and general manager of the university's station, NorthJersey.com said.
WPSC's programming will feature live music and an interview with Grammy award-winning musician Stewart Copeland, drummer of the Police, NorthJersey.com reported.
