WAYNE, N.J. -- Happy birthday to Gene Mayer, former tennis great, who turns 60 this Monday, April 11.
Mayer was born in Flushing, Queens, but grew up in Wayne. At Wayne Valley High School, he was unbeaten during his two years on the team.
