PASSAIC COUNTY, N.J. – The Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders presented Open Space checks for two projects based in Little Falls totaling $165,000 at its Tuesday meeting.
The funds will go toward investments in parks and open space. The local Historic Commission received $15,000 to prepare needs assessment and pursue historic designation for the former police department and municipal building, and the Township of Little Falls received $150,000 to upgrade the lighting system at various active recreational fields, including baseball, football, soccer and tennis courts.
This year, the board will hold traveling freeholder meetings in Wanaque on Tuesday, July 19; Woodland Park on Tuesday, Oct. 11; and Wayne on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
