The construction official is expected to perform all statutory duties as prescribed by NJAC 5:23; perform all the duties of the Building Sub-code Official/HHS License; and perform building inspection duties for construction.
This individual also serves as the zoning officer and property maintenance officer.
The construction office has one full-time clerical staff, as well as part-time plumbing and part-time electric subcode employees and a part-time fire subcode official.
The candidate must possess a Construction Official License, Building Subcode/HHS License and valid New Jersery driver’s license.
Municipal building inspection experience is required.
