Albert J. Sarracino, 88, Washington Township Resident

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- Albert J. Sarracino -- a resident of Washington Township, formerly of Hackensack -- died on Friday, Jan. 27. He was 88.

An Army veteran of the Korean War, Sarracino worked for Sierbath in Cliffside Park for many years, before he retired.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Phyllis (Gerardi) Sarracino; siblings Michael Sarracino of Wayne, and Auriello Sarracino and his wife Marie of Woodridge; sisters-in-law Marie DelVecchio and Dolores Vansaders; and nieces, nephews and many close friends.

Carracino was preceded by his brother, Louis Sarracino. 

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 31, at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Service, 397 Union St., in Hackensack. The funeral will begin at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, from the funeral home, with an 11 a.m. mass at St. Francis Church, 50 Lodi St., in Hackensack. Interment will follow, at St. Joseph Cemetery, in Hackensack.
