Clara Dyer, 82, Of Passaic

PASSAIC, N.J. -- Clara Dyer, 82, of Passaic, died Oct. 14. 

She was born May 11, 1934, in Bennington, Vt., and lived most of her life in Rutherford before moving to Passaic. 

She retired at 65 from her job of 34 years as office manager for a doctor's office in Clifton. She enjoyed bowling, reading and listening to her favorite music by Willie Nelson, Pavarotti and Roy Orbison. 

She is survived by her children; Jay and his wife Tammy, Debra Mc Garvin, Casey Pernick and husband Matthew and Sarah Manning and husband Jamie; grandchildren, Marilyn McGarvin and husband Brian Watkins, Louise McGarvin, Casey James, Patrick and Theodore Manning, Rachel Songer and husband Jeff, Michael and Alexander Pernick, Barry Linder and wife Nicole; and great-grandchildren, Ethan James Murphy-Manning, Jackson and Caden Linder. 

She was predeceased by her siblings, Priscilla Hartington and Robert Edward Dyer.

The family will accept friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday with an 8:30 p.m. prayer service at the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. Funeral services will be private.
