PATERSON, N.J. -- Genevieve (Dachille) Valinoti, of Paterson, died on Thursday, Dec. 29. She was 84.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, she resided in Paterson for 25 years. She was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn and a member of the Park East Terrace Social Club of Paterson. A devoted matriarch, she enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, cooking and time spent with family.
She is survived by her husband, Peter Valinoti; children, Carmella Pacella and husband Joseph, Anthony Valinoti and wife Lisa, Josephine Fernandez and husband Angel and the late Sandra Mas and surviving husband Ron; grandchildren, Ron, Peter, Ernie, Vicky, Michael, Anthony, Ross and wife Vanessa and Nicolas; great-grandchildren, Paige, Gianna, Ava and Violet.
The family will receive relatives and friends Monday 3-8 p.m. at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. A Funeral Mass is planned for Tuesday, Jan. 3, 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Genevieve to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148 would be appreciated.
