NORTH HALEDON, N.J. -- John Palach of North Haledon, died June 18. He was 53.
Palach was born Jan. 30, 1963, in Zakliczyn, Poland, to Julian and Maria (Karecki) Palach. He came to the United States as a young child, living first in Paterson, then moving to North Haledon.
He was a talented self-employed general contractor. He loved music, water rafting, fishing, skiing and being outdoors.
He is survived by his parents Julian and Maria; brother Mickey and his wife Margaret; sister Janina “Jeanne” Palach; nephew Joseph; niece Ashley; and cousins.
Visiting is from 2-4 and 7-9 Wednesday at the Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave., Wallington. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul’s Church, 286 Haledon Ave., Prospect Park. He will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Saddle Brook.
