CLIFTON, N.J. — José Rodríguez, 77, of Clifton, died Monday, Oct. 30.
He was born in Florida, Camagüey, Cuba to José and Concepción (García Valladares) Rodríguez.
In 1974, Rodríguez came to the United States, where he and his wife, Silvia, raised their two sons. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry and traveling.
He was employed by Dragoco Inc. in Totowa for 25 years as a food flavor compounder before retiring in 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Silvia (García del Rio- Solís) Rodríguez; sons, Francisco and his wife Lara and Leonardo and his wife Jill; grandchildren, Victoria Lynn, Nicholas Leonardo, Evan Alexander; and brother, Gabriel and his wife Clara.
There will be a funeral at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, 91 Home Ave., Rutherford.
