WAYNE, N.J. -- Rosa Alfieri, of Wayne, died Thursday, Aug 4. She was 90.
Born in Marcellinara, Italy, she came to the United States in 1956 and settled and raised her family in Jersey City before moving to Cliffside Park and later to Wayne.
She was a former parishioner of The Epiphany Church in Cliffside Park and a member of the Amity Club of Our Lady of Consolation Church in Wayne. Her greatest joy was her love of preparing fabulous meals for her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Ralph; daughters, Angela and Diane; grandchildren, Danielle, Kristy, Ralph, Raymond and Gabriella; and her great-granddaughters, Emily and Sarah.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Sunday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. There will be a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth’s RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, in East Hanover.
