CLIFTON, N.J. – Tara M. Carty, a resident of Clifton, died Monday, July 13. She was 36.
She was born in Montclair and lived most of her life in Highland Lakes before settling in Clifton. She graduated from Caldwell College in 2013 with a 4.0 GPA. She also was an active member of National Federation of the Blind.
She is survived by her partner, Daniel Facchini; grandmother Carol Cummings; and many close friends.
Friends and family will be received on from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Liturgy will follow at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Mary, 91 Home Ave., Rutherford. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Federation of the Blind, 200 E. Wells St. at Jernigan Place, Baltimore, MD 21230 or the Juvenile Diabetes Association, 381 Park Ave. S., Suite 1118, New York, NY 10016.
