Gyasi Allen, 26, was being held pending extradition proceedings to face charges in the killing of Cosmeik Gee, Police Director Jerry Speziale told Daily Voice.
Marhals took him into custody in Florence County on murder charges filed by by Paterson police, the director said.
Earlier this month, Paterson detectives working with investigators from the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office arrested and charged a 32-year-old city ex-con in the shooting.
Jamal Wade was free on bail -- after Delaware authorities said they busted him for drugs in early September -- when 29-year-old Cosmeik Gee was shot several times while sitting in a vehicle near the corner of 12th Avenue and East 23rd Street around 11:45 p.m. Sept. 30.
In addition to murder, Wade was charged with conspiracy, as well as weapons offenses, the director said.
Speziale said the investigation was continuing and asked that anyone with information in the case call his detective bureau: (973) 321-1120.
Wade, meanwhile, remained held on $1 million bail in the Passaic County Jail.
