City Detective Michael Quinones and Passaic County Prosecutor’s Prosecutor’s Detective Ricardo Ferreira identified their suspect as 32-year-old Jireed Bragg, city Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

They obtained an arrest warrant and tried to find him, with no luck, the director said.

Then came word Friday that bail recovery agents in Florida had him and were bringing him back to New Jersey.

Bragg – who Speziale said shot a 26-year-old man several times in a building on drug-plagued Auburn Street on Jan. 6 – was charged with attempted murder and weapons offenses.

He remained held without bail in the Passaic County Jail pending a first court appearance.

The victim survived his injuries, Speziale said.
