Armed Bandit Robs $1,800 From Wayne Nail Salon

WAYNE, N.J. -- A masked gunman fled with $1,800 from a Wayne nail salon over the weekend, said police who were investigating the holdup.

No one was injured, police said.

Described as white and in his 40s, the robber didn't harm any customers or take anything from them before fleeing with cash from the register at the Hamburg Turnpike salon around 4:15 p.m. Sunday, Capt. Laurence Martin said.

Detectives were reviewing video surveillance, said Martin.

The robber was about 5-foot-9, with salt and pepper hair and wearing wire-frame prescription glasses along with the mask, he said.
