Raul J. Rodriguez, a 33-year-old supermarket clerk from Jersey City, was taken into custody by Bergen County Sheriff’s officers and borough police Wednesday night “for filming a patron using the restroom” with a cellphone at Riverside County Park South, county Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.

A search of the device turned up “sexually explicit images and/or videos of prepubescent children,” the prosecutor said.

“At this time there is no evidence that any children using the park were recorded in the bathroom,” Grewal said.

Rodriguez was charged with invasion of privacy and possession of child pornography and released pending a Nov. 29 hearing in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
