The Wagaraw Road BP attendant called police at 3:03 a.m. and told told police that three men, one carrying a handgun, assaulted him, took $800 and then fled in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee on the Lincoln Avenue bridge toward Paterson, Sgt. Brian Metzler said.

The attendant refused medical attention, he said.

The station, just over the bridge from Paterson, has been targeted frequently.

Metzler said he couldn't confirm a tip received by Daily Voice that the same robbers might have been responsible for another holdup in Paterson.
