Witnesses described the fleeing vehicle in last Thursday afternoon's crash at West Clinton Avenue and Melrose avenues as an "older model, blue/green Subaru hatchback, possibly an Outback," Capt. Mustafa Rabboh said Tuesday.

It had front driver's side damage, "as well as a flat, front driver’s side tire and a spare donut tire for the front passenger side tire," he said.

The River Edge driver of the vehicle that was struck was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that Rabboh said weren't life-threatening.
