PATERSON, N.J. -- A 15-year-old boy and 18-year-old man were wounded in a shooting incident on a Paterson street Saturday night, as gun violence in the city continued to escalate.

The younger teen was struck in the torso and the older one grazed on the arm in the 9:20 p.m. incident at Governor and Carroll Streets, city Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

Police found the younger one at the scene and had him brought by ambulance to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Speziale said. The older teen showed up later, having been taken there in a private vehicle, he said.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to contact Detective Christopher Ravaleese or Detective Joehan Suarez of the Paterson Police Ceasfire Unit at (973) 321-1342 .
