PATERSON, N.J. -- More and more deer have been seen in suburbia, but walking down a Paterson street?
"I was on Hemlock Street dropping off my girlfriend the other night when I saw a woman walking down Main Street [near St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center] yelling behind her," Lawrence Bethke or Irvington told Daily Voice.
"I got out of my car and he walked off of Main Street and up Hemlock," he said.
"He was an 8-point buck, I'm guessing around 200 pounds -- big for a Jersey deer," said Bethke, who snapped a few photos.
"He walked up and down Hemlock Street approaching people to within five feet," he said.
"I'm thinking he gets fed somewhere because he approached at least ten houses," Bethke said. "He just seemed to be lost -- not hurt or stressed.
"As people would try to get a better look, he would pause and look at them. Then he'd keep walking."On Tuesday, a deer crashed through the window of a Saddle Brook home, ran upstairs and back down again and fled through the same window ( SEE: Deer Crashes Through Window Of Saddle Brook Home ).
