Clifton Boy Critical After Accidental Gunshot To Head, Paterson Police Say

PATERSON, N.J. -- A 15-year-old Clifton boy remained in critical condition at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center after accidentally shooting himself in the head while handling a gun in a Paterson apartment, city Police Director Jerry Speziale said Tuesday morning.

Police called to the Fair Street home found the boy at 4:50 p.m. Sunday, Speziale said.

He asked that anyone with information that could help the investigation contact Detective Steven Leishman at (973) 321-1120.
