Clifton police flooded the area and notified neighboring jurisdictions after the victim was snatched from Luddington Avenue at gunpoint around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Lt. Robert Bracken said.

Authorities searched for nearly 45 minutes before Totowa police located the car on Union Boulevard, arrested the gunman and recovered the weapon, he said.

The victim was found unharmed.

Because it was a domestic violence incident, identities aren't being disclosed.
