Officer Robert Marks and Timothy Taffin stopped the car Sunday night on Lakeview Avenue near East 9th Street, Lt. Robert Bracken said Tuesday morning.
They arrested the driver, 25-year-old Omar Younes of Carlstadt and Salvatore Veccia, 30, of Wallington -- both for drug and paraphernalia possession, Bracken said. Veccia was also wanted on a warrant from another jurisdiction, he said.
A second passenger, 32-year-old Jonathan Cruz of Passaic, was charged with having a loaded 9mm handgun in his waistband, along with the same drug offenses, Bracken said.
Cruz was ordered held on $2,500 bail in the Passaic County Jail. The otehr two were released on court summonses.
