CLIFTON, N.J. -- A Clifton resident told police one of two intruders who came to her door early Wednesday whacked her in the face with what might have been a handgun before both ran off.
Detectives were investigating.
The Howd Avenue woman told police she "answered the door early this morning and was met by two unknown males, one of whom brandished a weapon, possibly a handgun," Detective Lt. Robert Bracken told Daily Voice.
The possible gunman then hit her in the face with what he was holding, Bracken said she told police.
She sustained facial injuries, he said.
Bracken asked that anyone who might have seen something or has information that could help the investigation call Clifton detectives: (973) 470-5908 .
