The vehicle first crossed the entire lot at Gary’s Wine and Marketplace from a parking spot before hitting the concrete base of a light pole around 1:15 p.m., Capt. Martin Laurence said Tuesday.

"The driver then put the car in forward gear and crossed back across the lot, striking the curb and knocking over a handicapped parking sign," he said.

The car kept going before it ultimately crashed into a glass window next to the sliding doors in the business' exit foyer, the captain said.

"Fortunately no injuries were reported and the damage was isolated to the areas listed specifically the glass exit door frame and handicap parking sign," he said.

No summonses were issued, Martin said.
