The robber pulled up to the Gulf station at 551 River Drive in a grey, four-door Cadillac just after 5 p.m., Police Chief Michael Foligno told Daily Voice.

The attendant told police he "pointed a black handgun at him and demanded money, and he handed over about $300 in cash," the chief said.

The Cadillac then sped off on River Drive, he said.

Available officers searched the surrounding area and neighboring departments were notified, Foligno said.

The chief asked that anyone who spotted the Cadillac or has information that could help the investigation call Elmwood Park police: (201) 796-0700.
