The first victim told police he was in the Botany Village section around 12:30 a.m. Dec. 17 when the pair approached him in the area of Arthur and Center streets, Detective Lt. Robert Bracken said Wednesday.

The man -- described as black, 25 to 30 years old, about 6 feet tall and 150 pounds -- was carrying a knife, the victim said.

The woman -- light-skinned, in her early 20s and about 5-foot-6 -- had a semi-automatic handgun, he said.

After robbing him, they ran toward Ackerman Avenue, the victim told police.

The following day, around 1:30 a.m., another man said he was attacked by three people -- a man wearing ski mask and carrying a gun and two women who removed valuables from him.

"In each incident, the victims were stalked and then attacked," Bracken said.

He asked that anyone who saw something either night, or has other information that could help the investigation, call the Clifton Police Detective Bureau at (973) 470-5908. Callers can remain anonymous, he said.
