Paterson Man Charged With Murder In Shooting Death At Illegal Nightclub

PATERSON, N.J. — A Paterson man was charged with murder Wednesday for a shooting death in December at an illegal nightclub, authorities said.

Jaquan Harrison, 32, was charged with murder in the shooting death of Fernando Irby, 25, of Paterson, on Dec. 27, 2015, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and acting Paterson Police Chief William Fraher said.

Harrison was also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, Valdes and Fraher said.

He was held on $1 million bail, they said.
