Those arrested had access to both floors of a two-family house on Mill Street, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

Besides the heroin, detectives found empty baggies used to package the drug -- then did another search of a Christina Place residence where Speziale said they found the cash, as well as a .22-caliber handgun stashed under the mattress of a 20-year-old ex-con.

Charged with drug offenses were Diany Garcia, Kareem Scott and Kayla Kliker, all 19, and Michael Miles, 21.

Charged with the drug offenses and possession of the handgun was Dante Cody -- who also was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
