A tip led detectives to the Monroe Street apartment of Victoriano Moreno-Cabrera, 20, Passaic County Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik said.
Authorities found 14 child porn files at first but then discovered around 4,000 stored online, which Berdnik said Moreno-Cabrera accessed from his mobile devices.
Moreno-Cabrera was charged with possession and distribution of child porn, the sheriff said. He was held at Passaic County Jail awaiting bail, Berdnik said.
The arrest came after a two-month investigation, he said.
