Thomas J. Coughlin, 23, of Pompton Lakes, was charged with burglary and theft, Capt. Laurence Martin said Tuesday afternoon.

Bail was set at $50,000 after Wayne detectives arrested Coughlin at his home Turesday morning, Martin said.

The night before, Martin asked the public for help identifying the intruder, releasing an image from a home surveillance that caught him in the act.

All of the items taken were recovered, he said.
