Wayne Police: Hasbrouck Heights Woman Shoplifts With Infant Grandson

WAYNE, N.J.– A Hasbrouck Heights woman had her 2-month-old grandson with her when she shoplifted nearly $700 worth of items from the Lord and Taylor store at Willowbrook Mall, authorities said.

The store's security team noticed Angela Arias, 51, wandering around the store removing price tags off items, Capt. Laurence Martin said Monday.

No family members could be reached, so the infant was taken along with Arias to headquarters, Martin said.

Arias was released on a court summons and the New Jersey Child Protection and Permanency office was notified, he said.
