WAYNE, N.J. -- Wayne police again are participating in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)'s nationwide "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" crackdown campaign running through Sept. 7.

The federally-funded campaign is designed to raise public awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving and to help reduce the number of drunk drivers on the road, which will save lives.

The campaign involves thousands of law enforcement officers in partnership with state and local safety advocates and the NHTSA.
