Hawthorne Introduces Salary Amendment Ordinance

HAWTHORNE, N.J.– The hourly rate of the special police officer's position in Hawthorne is on the table for adjustment.

The Hawthorne Mayor and Council introduced an ordinance on Tuesday changing the rate of the position to $18.50 per hour.

Ordinance No. 2168-16, "An Ordinance to Fix the 2016 Salaries, Wages and Compensation of the Employees of The Borough of Hawthorne" amends Section 1. of Ordinance No. 2158-16. 

The ordinance was passed on first reading and will be considered for final passage after the public meeting Wednesday, July 27.

Meetings are held in the Municipal Building, 445 Lafayette Ave.
