Donations collected at Prudential Center, as well as a portion of every ticket purchased by Berkeley College associates and students, will be used to purchase blankets for children in New Jersey hospitals.

The Devils will present Berkeley College senior administration with a custom hockey jersey and in-game elements will help drive fundraising efforts on the arena’s concourse.

“As we celebrate this milestone for Berkeley College, we recognize our mission of leading students to dynamic careers, as well as our legacy of volunteerism,” said college President Michael J. Smith. “We expect our students to bring a social consciousness with them when they leave Berkeley and go on to make a difference in New Jersey and the world.”

As part of this year's anniversary celebration, Berkeley will mark 85 "Acts of Kindness."

Throughout the year, the College assists charities in the critical areas of food, shelter, health and student success, through the Berkeley Cares initiative.

“We are committed to improving the lives of the people of New Jersey through partnerships with organizations that share our values and goals,” said Hugh Weber, the Devils and Prudential Center president. “Berkeley College is a first-class institution that is focused on building community leaders, and we are proud to help celebrate 85 years of success.”

Hundreds of Berkeley College graduates will cross the stage at Prudential Center stage to receive Bachelor’s and Associate’s degrees and certificates during the 2016 Commencement Ceremony on April 29, 2016. The college has more than 50,000 alumni worldwide.
