When the NJEA and the Jets set out to honor “outstanding” educators and educational support professionals, they received a slew of nominations from colleagues, family members, students and community members.

They managed to narrow the nomination down to ten honorees. Among those honored were:

  • Mary McGuire, a language arts teacher at Hackensack Middle School
  • Carlos Miranda, a science teacher at Charles J Riley School #9 in Paterson
  • Marcella Drumright, a paraprofessional at Mario Drago School #3 in Passaic

They each were selected to receive four Club-level tickets to a Jets home game and to be recognized during the NY Jets game day radio broadcast on ESPN Radio 98.7 FM.
