Although some areas north of New Jersey may see snow, Super Bowl Sunday in Bergen and Passaic counties will be dry with clouds, meteorologist Joe Cioffi said Saturday.

"This morning we are seeing lots of sunshine but it is cold as high pressure is building in from the west," Cioffis said. "The core of this cold air mass is overhead today. We will see sunshine with a bit of a gusty breeze and temperatures in the low to mid 30s.

"Temperatures will moderate overnight and on Sunday," he added. "There isn’t much with this system so, other than perhaps an isolated snow shower overnight or Sunday morning, there are no weather issues.

"Super Bowl Sunday will be dry with clouds and some breaks of sunshine with highs reaching into the low and middle 40s."

A cold front moves through Sunday night, Cioffi said, but it will be sunny Monday, with highs in the mid- to upper 30s.

Tuesday night into Wednesday will likely bring rain, he added.
