The monument is a sculpture designed by Paterson's Gaetano Federici.

The Preservation Society is looking to raise $50,000 in an effort to restore the statue so future generations can better understand "The War to End All Wars."

The United States mobilized more than 4 million troops for the first World War and had 116,516 soldiers killed between 1917 and 1918.
