Hector Carlos Lora was on live on Facebook on Tuesday morning trudging the snow-filled streets and updating residents about conditions.

He reiterated that he signed an executive order Monday night mandating that all homeless persons be moved from the street during the storm.

People were assisted on the streets by members of the city's police department and emergency crews.

Lora is now double checking to make sure everyone was moved.

"It won't be from lack of trying," he said of attempting to ensure no homeless is left behind.

Anyone still outside with no place to go will be taken to a relative, appropriate facility or warming station.

The mayor said he will provide live storm updates throughout the day on Facebook.

He advised everyone to stay home during the storm.

He delivered the message in both English and Spanish.
