LITTLE FALLS, N.J. -- The suspension of a lab technician in Little Falls could bring thousands of pending drug cases and convictions into question, according to NorthJersey.com.
The longtime state police technician admitted to failing to properly analyze evidence in at least one case. The admission now allows previous convictions to be appealed and pending cases can now motion to have charges dismissed, NorthJersey.com reported.
Kamal Shah has spent 10 years as a forensic lab tech and had handled 7,827 drug cases, NorthJersey.com said.
