NORTH HALEDON, N.J. --Andrew A. Frappolli of North Haledon passed away on Nov.5. He was 73.
Born in Paterson, Andy resided in North Haledon 43 years. He was an avid wine expert becoming a sommelier and well respected by those in the wine industry.
He began his career in the retail wine business in Glen Rock and advanced to becoming a New York regional sales manager for Opici Wines.
Frappolli was an avid mystery reader, enjoyed challenging crossword puzzles, was a talented gardener and carpenter who built birdhouses for family and friends, had fun cooking for his family, and loved to travel abroad.
He was predeceased by his Alice ( Renick) Frappolli.
Frappolli is survived by his fiancé of Barbara Meyer; children Steven Frappolli of Provincetown, Mass. and Dana Metviner and her husband Erik of Chatham; grandchildren Annika and Sara Metviner; siblings Maryann Frappolli of Hawthorne, and Cookie Toennies of Baldwinsville, N.Y.
He is also survived by Meyer's children Stacey Osucha and her husband Thomas of Chatham, Donna Meyer of North Haledon; and her grandchildren Kaitlin and Zachary Osucha.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne.
Interment will follow at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
