WEST MILFORD, N.J. — Longtime West Milford resident John Sedlak, Jr., died on Saturday, May 7. He was 69.
He was born March 20, 1947, in Queens, N.Y.
A resident of New Port Richey, Fla., when he died, Sedlak lived in West Milford for more than 25 years.
Sedlak was an executive for various consumer electronics companies, where he was a mentor to many.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Diane; three sons and daughters-in-law; John and Sonya, Keith and Janine and Steven and Jessica; grandchildren, Tyler, Madeline, Connor, Kathryn, Jack, Sarah, Chloe, Mya, Grace and Ryan; and his sister.
Visitation will be at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., in Wyckoff on Thursday, May 12, from 4-8 p.m., with a service on Friday, May 13, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers a donation to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
